Engineering Supply Corporation was founded on January 2, 1990 in Holland, Michigan. Starting with one person, Rod Bice, our primary goal was to furnish blue prints to the construction, architectural and engineering firms in the area. We also carried a full line of architectural and engineering items from drafting furniture to templates. The business soon grew to include two people in sales, a bookkeeper and a delivery person. It was not long before we became a supplier to a wider West Michigan area including Grand Rapids.

As the business grew we had to expand to a larger location. First in 1993, ESI moved from the south side of Holland to a larger facility on the north side of Holland on James Street. In 1995 we started selling wide format copiers and pen plotters. We also became a dealer for KIP America and Ricoh analog and digital print systems and Hewlett Packard plotters. As we started selling these machines, it soon became apparent that we needed our first in house service technician. We needed more space again. In 2000, ESI built its own premier facilty about a mile further down James Street. This is where we are today.

ESI now offers a complete graphics department, which can print banners, vehicle graphics and posters to customer specifications. Our service department has expanded coverage and service capabilities holding over 80 technical certifications for wide format equipment service. Our expertise has provided a demand for our services throughout the State of Michigan and into surrounding states. We utilize the latest technology in the marketplace providing a level of service unmatched in the industry.

We also have become one of the largest suppliers of ink, paper and toner in the area. We carry a variety of brands including Oce’, Kip-America, Ricoh, HP, Canon and Azon Corporation. Most items are in stock and ready for delivery. Engineering Supply and Imaging (now) has evolved from being a single owner business to employ over 20 people in three locations, Holland, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. ESI still prides ourselves on being locally owned and operated.
